Today, March 24th, Matador Records releases Fuckbook, a new album of cover songs from “legendary New London, CT trio” Condo Fucks. A press release from Matador says that the Condo Fucks have “returned to the stage after a long absence from the tri-state area’s concert circuit…”

Bullshit.

We dispatched a pair of Savage Detectives to the Whaling City this past weekend in search of information regarding these elusive Condo Fucks. Not only does there appear to be no-such-Condo-Fucks, it appears that this elaborate ruse was nothing more than an opportunistic attempt by a desperate band from Hoboken, NJ to tap into New London’s true-blue cred. Shame on you, Yo La Tengo!
